Agora Web API

Building better apps, working with the latest technology and imagining how it works has always been my motivation. In this blog I have explained step-by-step guide about how to work with Agora Video SDK and Test it on the Web. Best feature which I personally like is that It has a self developed reliable real-time audio and video experience.

Step 1: Go to Agora Official Website and Create and Setup an Account.

Step 2: Below is the Overview/ Home Page of Agora. Navigate to “Project Management” in the left tab.

Step 3: In the “Project Management” section click “Create” as shown below.

Step 4: Give any desired Project Name as you wish, select a Use Case whichever is applicable for you. You can choose Authentication Mechanism as “Testing mode” if you are just testing and learning how SDKs work and then click “Submit”.

Step 5: Copy your App ID of the Project you created.

Step 6: Download the Video SDK in your local machine and unzip the folder.

Step 7: Open the folder in Visual Studio Code Editor as it is easy to access the live server. Go to “index.html” and click “Go Live” at the bottom panel.

Note:

1. If you don’t find “Go Live” then you need to install “Live Server” from the extensions which can be seen in the left panel.
2. You can use any editor until you have Live Server installed in your local machine.

Step 8: Paste your App ID which you previously copied from the Project Management and also name your channel as you wish and click “Join”.

Step 9: Hurray 🎉 You have successfully executed Agora SDK in your application. You can also invite others to join the channel with the link given.
